Talents
An Introduction to Talents
Talents are passive bonuses earned in a similar manner to powers. Talents offer more options to spend talent points on.
Unlocking a talent costs one talent point. Increasing a talent's level costs talent points equal to that talent's level. You must unlock the previous level in a talent before you may unlock the next. For example, an Infiltrator unlocks the Perception branch for 1 talent point. They then upgrade it to level 2 for another two talent points. The Infiltrator has spent 3 total talent points on Perception.
For some talent levels, there are two possible effects of an upgrade. Upon choosing to upgrade the talent, you must select the option you wish. You may not reverse this choice, and may not purchase that level again to get both benefits.

Ability Score Talents
All ability score talents require the related ability score to be at least 8 + (talent level x 2). So, a level 1 Focus power requires a focus of 10, level 2 requires 12, and so on.
